New release candidate coming up?

Everyone, just read the above carefully and...stay tuned ;)

Again and again the same discussion. I've a short-term idea but I really don't insist on this: What about providing a link to the SVN changelog on the Download page with the title "See work in progress...". I know there is no direct link to the log but everybody having a SVN client can simply create such a ChangeLog and upload it as plain text file thus updating the content of the link from time to time. I would volunteer if this is of help.
With regards, Morten.

From what I know you can't modify the download page to display arbitrary links. It is a more readable listing of the project's ftp directory in table form.
We could still display the changelog somewhere on the forums, but Lieven already does that with every nightly build. Personally, I think such stuff does not belong onto the forum anyway. It belongs onto the main page. And there we are again, we can't do it until we have a better infrastructure, otherwise someone has to edit and upload a HTML file by hand every day... :(

Get down to business.
CB is a really nice IDE, if you take a look at the nightlies.
Sure, some plugins might not be the best working right now (Code Completion, wxSmith f.e.),
but, there is no reason to hide the advance of the project, even
if its not worth a release candidate, think about saying the lastest stable
version is rc2. Take a look at now, and rc2, the introduction of wxFlatNotebook
did a huge improvement in Usability, which rc2 simply can't offer.
Also, Code Completion and wxSmith still aren't perfect, their on a stage to work
with, and their lightyears beyond rc2.
Guess, someone is new to CB, what is he supposed to install ?
RC2 isn't really CB anymore, since the Project moved on, and
is now a whole lot different. Install a nightly build would be also possible.
But heck, where do I get a stable (almost not crashing, mostly working) version from ?
The nighly forum only offers the newest builds, shouldn't you think about some sticky thread,
pointing out the latest stable versions, which a new user could install ?
just my 2 cents...
