Author Topic: Trying to download Codeblocks for windows mingw release...Chrome showing virus?  (Read 3609 times)

Not sure what to do..trying to do a tutorial for C++...that wants me to download the windows mingw release...Chrome keeps detecting it as malware..is it a false positive? Or did someone hack the site and "Switch" files?

The URL you are trying to download from?

The Operating system you are on?

The Anti-virus (AV) software you are using?

NOTE: Chrome is a web browser; I do NOT think it has its own AV Software in it.
Note: But, It might have a white list or black list for down load sites.

Chrome has a bad habit of automatically flagging executable files (even zipped ones) if they don't have positive well-known reputations.  This often means it will flag any random project's binary release for no reason other than the file itself is too new for it to know about.
