Target Communications Framework (TCF).
« on: March 14, 2014, 07:54:19 am »
I thought I'd introduce the Embedded group to Target Communication Framework (TCF).
It is used to enable embedded debugging.
There is a version of Eclipse which support TCF.

http://www.eclipse.org/tcf/
http://wiki.eclipse.org/TCF

Companies involved are Intel Corporation, Wind River and Xilinx, Inc.

It was explained to me that you can eliminate GDB with Eclipse TCF for embedded debugging.
I am not familiar enough to know how TCF replaces all the capabilities of GDB.

Enjoy,
J.R.

I would guess its a suggestion to look at it; and decide if it is worth adding to CB.

Correct. Sorry I wasn't explicit enough.
