Instant Crash on Mac OSX
« on: December 21, 2012, 04:25:39 am »
Hello.

I am a happy user of Code::Blocks on both Windows 7 and Debian Linux. However, on Mac OSX I cannot so much as instantiate Code::Blocks with a new project and add a .cpp file without it crashing. I don't want to have to resort to using CMake only on the mac, so I would appreciate any help. I have tried disabling wxSmith plugins, and disabling all plugins. I have tried both version 12.11 and the old version 10.5. I am running both Lion and Mountain Lion. Both fail. Has anyone had any actual success with Code::Blocks on Mac?

Please help.

-Dave Ottley

I searched the forum and it brought me to this post. Are there links to the previous discussions? Because I could not find them after multiple searches.

Hi - there are quite a few posts if you search for "OSX".  But to save you the trouble, you need to disable some of the plugins.  I haven't identified the exact set yet, but Code Completion and Keyboard Shortcuts are likely culprits.
Cheers,  Mike.
