Editor Context Menus on Mac
« on: March 02, 2011, 09:57:11 am »
Hi,

I am using CodeBlocks (currently preferably 8.02) on Fedora, Ubuntu, XP and Mac (10.6.6).
However on Mac the context menu in the editor (ctrl+click) show only the options:Search Internet..., Search MSN..., Search with Google,... Swtich to.

Hence  I do not see the usual context menu options as on all other platforms (e.g Find implementation, Find declaration,...)
(CB 8.02 and 10.05).

Has anybody a hint or at least a workaround (e.g. keyboard shortcuts) to access this functions (Find implementation, Find declaration,...) on a Mac???

Thanks a lot for help!!!

Anja

The keys are Ctrl + . and Ctrl + Shift + . (I cannot map them to the mac's keyboard)...
Also I think you can find them in the Search menu.

Thanks! I really overlooked them in the "Search Menu" ....

However, the context menus as on all other platforms would be nice... I have the common context menus in the Management Window (i.e. Project, Smybols etc) and the "Logs and other". But not in the Editor. Only these Search Routines appear in the  Editor Context Menu on Mac which is a bit annoying...

Any hints how to change the Contents of the Editor Context Menus on Mac?

THANKS again!
Anja

Install 10.05 or remove the C::B's config (default.conf)

I have 10.05 installed as well, but especially on  MAC I prefer to use 8.02 because 10.05 produces a crash *whenever* I close CB.

However I removed default.conf and tested both versions 8.02 and 10.05: No change! I only saw these annoying context menus in the editor (Search Internet, Search MSDN, Search Google, Switch to....)

Many thanks anyway!

You could try to disable the help plugin (plugins -> manage)

Sorry, did not work...
Context Menu in the Editor Window remains unchanged.
Btw during Debugging I am missing the context menu functionality in the editor windows as well; e.g right mouse click to "add watch" and so on... I only have these  search options and "Switch to"...

But I thought this always like this on Mac? I mean i did not do something special. Just install and use it. And ok, I imported some workspace files from other platforms... But this should not be a problem shoud it?

MANY THANKS  for your help!!!!!

Anja
