Have you tried a nightly build ? Here is the link on the most recent one (27 february 2010):
http://forums.codeblocks.org/index.php/topic,12098.0.htmlThe build option dialog box can be resized on my computer.
And if you read the forums, you will see that a release is currently in preparation.

Well, this is understandable. However, there are several realities to take into account:
1 - the developpers and contributors are doing the main developpment during their spare time. It means it is a
hobby (like many open source projects by the way). In other words, the development of CodeBlocks will come after other priorities in life, such as Family, Work, Health, ...
2 - this is a totally free IDE, and a good one at that. A few years ago, this kind of tools were not at all available (you had to buy an expensive IDE - typically 2000 $ for basic editions - or to use a pirate copy...)
You cannot expect having everything (free + fast bug fixes + all imaginables features) without a trade off. The trade-off here is patience.
3 - you can always help in the development if you find it is too slow.
I hope that helps !

Sebastien
