is there a way to get the methods and properties of an
object during coding, similar as code completion does ?

Which do you mean by "Get the methods and properties of an object".
Can you give more detail?

If some piece of memory should be reused, turn them to variables (or const variables).
If some piece of operations should be reused, turn them to functions.
If they happened together, then turn them to classes.

similar to VB or Gambas ...
e.g. gauge->SetValue()
SetValue is an method of gauge object, right ?
