next release
« on: February 16, 2006, 07:48:54 pm »
I'm currently using the nightly builds, but I was wondering when the next official release is planned?

It seems to me that the nightly builds are far superior to the last official release in terms of both more features and fewer bugs.

It has taken us a little more than usual this time, but we want the next release to be really something. And I believe it will be :)

As for when, well you know the old open-source saying: When It's Ready (tm) ;)
But, seriously, I believe somewhere inside March should be feasible...
Be patient!
This bug will be fixed soon...

...and you are not the only one. Definetly.

Cool.

The reason I ask is that I would like to write a back end for the ReactOS build system for C::B.
I'd quite like to promote C::B as a default development environment teamed up with our mingw build system.

IMO, RC2 isn't up to the job, but judging by the nightly builds, the next release will be .... hence I have a few months to implement it ready for your next release.

Out of interest, what features are planned which would benefit huge projects like ours?
e.g. will it have some of the fancy hover/lookup facilities VS2005 has, and references to internal data structures, etc... ??
