Ctrl+Tab =  switch to the next tab on the right side
Ctrl+Shift+Tab  =  switch to the next tab on the leftt side

Not specifically with a hotkey, but BrowseTracker may be of some interest to you. It keeps a running list of the most recently used tabs/editors.
