Troubles setting up Codeblocks
« on: February 25, 2014, 12:00:09 pm »
Hey,

I have some troubles setting up Codeblocks, I use Windows 8 but I heard from a friend (who uses Windows 7) that he got the same problem.

When I install Codeblocks and am going to start it, I do not get the Autodetection for Compiler. I am really new to programming and I literally have no clue about the theme right now. Did I forgot something?

I want to use the GNU GCC Compiler and I want to do basic C programs as console applications.

Any help very appreciated, Google didnt help and Search function as well, probably due to bad knowledge of me googling the right things! ;D

I would be so lucky to learn what I miss here!

Greetings!

It seems you are not only new to programming but also to forums.

Please provide version, platform information as well as steps to reproduce.

You are asking for magic balls otherwise which we don't have... sorry.
Compiler logging: Settings->Compiler & Debugger->tab "Other"->Compiler logging="Full command line"

Haha yea I am quite new to forums and even a little to computers aswell! ;)

I got help from a friend and we installed another program that is a little bit worse but he told me its enough for my purpose.

Thank you for being kinda nice! :)

Have a good day
