startup time
« on: September 06, 2013, 01:06:00 pm »
hi
its really annoying waiting C:B to lunch , it tooks too much time (10 ~ 15 sec) comparing with other IDEs .
there is a topic already talking about his somewhere here  ,well i tried all the steps (removing plugins ...) but no difference .

so am looking for an effective way to do this .

all i want from C:B is code complition + debug stuff only , is there a way to disable all features except these 2 things ?

thanks

To speed up startup time you'll have to remove plugins, not just disable them.
Try to remove the codeblocks-contrib package and see the difference.

Another option is to start digging at the code an fix the slow parts of it.
Probably I'll look at this problem somewhere in the future, but it is very low priority.
