Hello,

May be we can do something similar to Eclipse:

C::B comes with a set of standard plugins that add specific functonalities, code formatting, code completion and so on. These standard plugins are selected on the basis of usefulness, quality, etc.

From the other side, all the other plugins are listed in a separate website (e.g., Announcement for plugins/patches) and can be downloaded as the user wishes. May be later we can provide a specific website that collect plugins as the one for Eclipse plugins. 

So, you can develop and provide whichever plugin you want without having to fight (not too much :)) to have it directly added to C::B.
