unable to start a new project

Hi i just downloaded codeblocks and have attempted to start a new project, but i keep getting the error message "couldn't create the project directory:"

do i need to download something i am missing, to make the program work? if so where do i find it?

i'm confused!

If it is Windows 7 then it seems to be a result of Windows 7 paranoia about access rights, firewalls and so on. Search a place on your disk, where you can create a directory. Create root project directory here and place your projects into its subdirectories. The problem has been discussed many times. Check threads on this forum.
