Ubuntu deb package
« on: May 26, 2010, 11:18:59 pm »
I am very piss off if you do NOT TEST new realise for debian/ubuntu DO NOT F*****ING commit it to svn.
I really have better things to do then reinstalling whole system to fix the situation.

dpkg: warning: files list file for package `libcodeblocks0' missing, assuming package has no files currently installed.
codeblocks: relocation error: /usr/lib/libcodeblocks.so.0: symbol _Z18wxSafeConvertWX2MBPKw, version WXU_2.8 not defined in file libwx_baseu-2.8.so.0 with link time reference

Why did I update to new version?
Because C::B hangs randomly after compilation when I use auto increment , and I have to kill it manually...

Calm down !

I guess you use my packages, because that are the only debian packages as far as I know.

If that's right you should learn to read the instructions more carefully:
Quote from: http://apt.jenslody.de/
The packages are known to work on ubuntu too. You have to use the appropriate wxwidgets-packages in this case, see here for details.

If you want to use my packages on ubuntu 9.10 (karmic koala) you have to use the packages provided by http://apt.wxwidgets.org for jaunty, because the wx2.8.10 packages from ubuntu are not compatible with the packages from http://apt.wxwidgets.org.
There exists also a repository containing packages for ubuntu, maintained by pasgui, see here how to use it.

I f you would have read carefully the nightly threads after release of ubuntu 9.10 you would have seen, that this is a known issue, but it seems to be caused by ubuntu not us or wxWidgets.

For the other issue you have, you should try to describe it more exactly and/or file a bug-report at berlios, so that we have a chance to find the reason and fix it if possible.

EDIT:
I just saw that there are wx2.8.11-packages for ubuntu 9.10 and 10.04 (and some other distros) available at http://apt.wxwidgets.org now.
I did not test them on ubuntu, but on debian I can use the wx2.8.11 packages together with my wx2.8.10-C::B for debian, but it's not deeply tested, because the packages are really new (not much more than 48 hours).

I had wxpackages downloaded but they didn't solved the problem. Instead of it made it worse wxpython stop working...
Please test your packages before commit or block ubuntu repository.

My packages are tested and downloaded by several hundred users.

If you can not read and don't want to, nobody can help you.

I can not block ubuntu-users and I don't want to.
You should use packages for your distro and not for other distros.

If you don't know what  you do, you should only use packages from repos dedicated to your distro.
