codesnippets
« on: June 03, 2009, 11:36:50 pm »
Hello friends,

I use CB on my Usb stick. Where CB saves the codesnippets.xml. Where do I give the attention to make sure that I travel with my snippets ;o)).

Where can I define the location of the codesnippets.xml. CB takes always the path to appdata with a user that does not exist at home. The user is from my office. When I am at home it is writing the path to the appdata in the  codesnippets.ini file.

......?????

Right Click the root item in the CodeSnippets tree, then click "Settings...".

Enter the location of your snippets .xml file in "Snippet Folder".

Ok I have solve it. But why CB write the path to user appdata from my office in the ini file. Is it in the default.conf ???? I change the path now manually to my stick and thats it. But another question, what about synthax highligtning in the snippet editor... Is there a way to do it??

The default "path to appdata" is provided by the OS. CodeSnippets needs a default if the user does not provide one. You should not copy the .ini file back and forth to different locations of CodeBlocks.

CodeSnippets provides only a rudimentary editor. You have the options of providing your own in the "settings..."
