code::blocks can't use cygwin gcc.exe shortcut?
« on: April 05, 2009, 01:09:35 am »
With no-MinGW version of Cygwin, Code::Blocks rejects the gcc.exe shortcut as invalid. I have to delete the shortcut and rename gcc-3.exe to gcc, then Code::Blocks is happy when I auto-detect.

Is delete/rename the right thing to do or is there a better approach?

A better approach would be to setup compiler executable correctly in C::B.
Setting->Compiler and Debugger
Choose compiler and open "toolchain executables" tab.
