Dear gd_on, I saw that pot file, the svn 8093, thanks for your work with the extraction tool. I have to ask, Its better generate a new .pot file at launchpad  from the last svn or the last stable version? Anybody have experience to upload the code::Blocks at launchpad website?

@Wagner de Queiroz : It should be better to use launchpad, but  I have no idea how to do to update it, and even if it's possible because I'm not the owner of the original file on Launchpad.
So I continue here ...

Updates to the .pot file extracted from svn 8572 are here. It's OK for the new Release Canditates 12.11 RC1.
Translation in French, also updated from svn 8572 in the .po and .mo file is here. Also OK for version 12.11 RC1.
There are 7900 character chains. There is still some work to do, not obvious without the context >:(. So, if you meet them and have some propositions, or find errors, don't hesitate to mail me (or send a PM). 8)

hello,
@ gd_on
Perhaps '8772' -> 8572' ...
Could you tell me the version of 'wxrc.exe' that you use ?
The extracted version of wxWidgets-2.8.x or 2.9.x-wxWidgets ?
Because the version 2.8.x does not generate the position of the extracted strings.

Yes, it's 8572, sorry for the mistyping ... :-[ Corrected in the original post  ;)
I still use wxWidgets 2.8.12 and wxrc found in the utils folder.
Now, I use TDM gcc 4.7.1, so it has been necessary to re-compile and build wxWidgets and wxrc. But, that's all.
I have not tried my tools with wxWidget 2.9.x, sorry.

hello,
first reading, just a typo in the new translation po.fr:L4964  : "sting" -> "string".
Thank you for this excellent work.

hello,
it seemed that Morten McFly indicated for revision
"On the latest revision in the branch 12.11" and looking -> 8629,
whereas in the trunk -> 8644.
Which should be taken?

Typo corrected. Thanks.
I don't think there are so many differences in the strings between SVN 8629 and 8644. It's why I said it is compatible.

Seems that there are missing some lines in the .POT/.PO file.

Code
msgid "&Show tips at startup"
msgstr ""

msgid "Did you know..."
msgstr ""

msgid "&Next Tip"
msgstr ""

It translates some stuff in the "Tip of de day" dialog.
Maybe something is missing in the extraction tool.

May be ... or not.
It depends where are those strings and if they are marked (in a .cpp, .h, ...file) as translatable (with _(...)) or not translatable (with _T(...)).
If they are in a .xrc file they also can be found, normally.
An other problem, is ... I can't locate them in the sources. They are somewhere, sure, but in which file ? I have not found them  :(

These strings are part of the wxWidgets wxTipDialog in tipdlg.cpp and can not be translated in C::B.
They should automatically be used localized, if you have installed the i18n package of wxWidgets.

Thanks Jens for the info.
I had also just found them in wxwidgets\locale\fr.po (in my case).
If with poedit, I create a fr.mo and put it in the same directory where is All_codeblocks.mo, it works. (I'm on Windows)

@gd_on
hello,
I am currently working on GNU AVR GCC and after building C::B r8818 and added your translation file, I can not find the compiler in the list.
A search tells me the last file "codeblocks.po" :
Code
#: ../plugins/compilergcc/compilerGNUAVR.cpp:19
msgid "GNU AVR GCC Compiler"
msgstr "Compilateur GNU ARM GCC"

I do not have time to check the rest ...
Sincerely
