Title: Nighty Build : how it works
Post by: mosfet on February 04, 2008, 09:24:37 pm
Hi,

I have downloaded a CB nighty build (svn 4845) and I am trying to discover this IDE.
I have choosen a new console application but after I don't understand because I don't have any project tree.
I cannot even add a file.
So how do you use it ?
Maybe it's because it didn't found any compiler ...
When CB is launched for the first time, I remember there was a wizzard to detect installed compilers, how can I restart it ?
And on which method is based this detection ? Registry . If yes is it harcoded or available in some config file ?

Hum. I think I was not precise enough in my description.
I know how to create a project but when I try I don't even see the project toolbar so my question was to find out why and I had supposed that it may come from the fact I have installed a nighty build and it didn't found a valid compiler.
In this case maybe it should be interesting to inform user because we cannot guess ...

Is the Manager visible ?
"View -> Manager" has to be checked or use "Shift+F2" if you have not changed key-codes witch KeyBinder-plugin.

Have you installed C::B in an empty dir ? If not, try it.
