Title: Complete, updated "tar.bz2" source project files, please!
Post by: pietrom on November 16, 2007, 12:31:30 pm
I noticed that precompiled Windows versions are always available, while precompiled Linux versions are hard to find and are not updated.

Now, I do not pretend you to compile your project for two platforms every day...

But at least let us download an up to date "tar.bz2" file with the complete source code. Consider that not everyone can update his code on line through SVN!

Thank you,

Pietro

This is possible already. BerliOS offers for *every* project a nightly source code tarball. So calm down and just read on BerliOS.

In addition: Why did you make this a stupid poll? You know how to post in forums, don't you?! :?

With regards, Morten.

You can download source tarballs from one of the following links. Please note this is uploaded rather infrequently.

There are also tarballs in my repo.
http://jens.lody.name/debian/pool/sid/ (http://jens.lody.name/debian/pool/sid/)
Newer tarballs will go to http://jens.lody.name/debian/pool/sources/ (http://jens.lody.name/debian/pool/sid/).

Normally updated with every nightly, not every svn change.

Why did you make this a stupid poll? You know how to post in forums, don't you?! :?
Just for you, I've added a new usergroup to hopefully solve that problem :)

"Newcomer" is now denied access to polls, which is available after reaching "Advanced Newcomer" at 10 posts. I assume that if someone has posted 10 times, they are sufficiently familiar with the forum software to avoid that error (if not, I can't help it).
Since hardly anyone really needs a poll, this restriction to the newcomers should not hit anyone hard.

Congrats to everyone who got a new title :P
