I use a different settings for operating system development(no include and lib dirs and such) so I just copied gcc and set the settings how I want and change my project file
well everything works good until you exit codeblocks, and when you do it just deletes the compiler(or at least it acts as if it don't exist anymore)
is there something special I have to do to save it or what!?

Besides to what killerbot asked (version/platform you are using) it would be interesting to know what compiler you are copying and what name you give to the new compiler.
With regards, Morten.

I am using Windows XP(sp2) and codeblocks v1.0 rc2
I copy GNU GCC and rename it as OSDev GCC

please upgrade to a nightly build. So much better, and this problem is fixed for a long time ;-)
