I have been using wxWidgets + CodeBlocks for quite a few years now. Very good IDE. Every year or so I check for updates and reinstall everything including the compiler. Before I used the TDM-GCC compiler but this time I switched to the MSYS2. I downloaded a functional version of CodeBlocks and then tried to build a new version of CodeBlocks using CodeBlocks_wx32_64.cbp. It does not find exchndl.dll.
exchndl.dll exists in "C:\msys64\codeblocks_25.03\src\exchndl\win64\bin"
I tried moving it to "C:\msys64\codeblocks_25.03\src\exchndl\win64\lib" but that did not work.
I tried renaming it to exchndl.dll.a. That did not work.
For the linker, line 150 of CodeBlocks_wx32_64.cbp has "<Add library="exchndl.dll" />" and line 166 has
"<Add directory="exchndl/win64/lib" />".
I am wondering if the new compiler/linker does not accept a dll as a linkable library.
Can anyone help with this?
