Title: Automatic perspective switching?
Post by: hidefromkgb on October 29, 2018, 03:00:43 pm
Hello all!

I`ve got a new problem using C::B. Well, not a problem, rather a minor inconvenience‚ but still…

When I`m at work I usually plug my laptop into a dock station with a 16:9 monitor in portrait mode. My «default» perspective is fine-tuned for this use case — so that the code panel occupies the whole window width while the project management panel and logs are both below the code.

However, when I come back home I`ve only got my laptop screen. For this screen I use the «minimal» perspective.

The question is: does C::B support automated perspective switching based on the window dimensions? I`m capable of jumping between perspectives by hand, sure, but it`d be just awesome if that were scriptable somehow.

…And an additional question: does the debugging perspective have the corresponding «minimal» counterpart to automatically switch to when the current perspective is «minimal»?

1. no - there is no automatic switching
2. no - there is not minimal-debugging perspective
