Title: Syntax highlighting colors don't show in settings

Go to Editor->Settings-> Syntax Highlighting. There one edit Foreground/Background. Colors can be changed using color picker and actually used by editor. But Foreground/Background always remain grey. Is is a feature or a bug? See the attached screenshot.

I am using 17.12 on Centos 7 and Debian 9.

I'm not sure what problem you're reporting.
Can you clarify, please?
Is the problem that the buttons never change background colour?
