Title: Problems with creating a new account
Post by: Plati5 on January 19, 2017, 01:43:48 pm
I really had some problems to create my account for this forum.

First I had to answer the question for "the next year" with 2017...so the forum is still in 2016? ;-)

I think it would be a good idea to update the answer to the question.

Second I didn't receive  the validation email. I had to change the address, my outlook.com received nothing.

Are you sure it is not in your spam folder?

Done, thanks you.

This might be a hotmail issue, I can not send meils to hotmail and msn from my server, because they say it's a spamming server. But they are the only *providers, that blck it, and it is not on any "normal" block-lists (as fare as I know).

That might be the same for the codeblocks mailserver.

Hotmail automatically says spam if the reply/sending email address does NOT seem to be "authorized" to send  email on the senders address behalf. I have never heard how hotmail decides if the email server is "authorized"; but, I am guessing domain mismatch or reverse IP issues cause problems.
