Title: Evaluate expression under cursor window opens and quickly closes

When running cb 16.01 wx2.8.12 (Linux) in debug mode the window evaluating an expression under the cursor quickly opens and closes and does not stay open.  Is this a bug or is there a fix?

It is a bug, but I'm not sure how to reliably reproduce it.
One workaround is to alt-tab to another application and then back to C::B.
If you know how to reliably reproduce this, I'll be happy to fix it.
