Title: German character (Umlaute) problems
Post by: roussec on January 24, 2006, 11:29:51 pm
Hello,

I am using Unicode Build from Jan 2  2006. I have problems with german characters:

1. If you use on of these characters ä,ü,ö,ß in the project name Code::Blocks is not able to save/load the project correctly.
2. Also this characters are not displayed correctly (or stored) by the editor.

could you try this with a more recent nightly, there was once a problem that CB did not show the contents of a file when such a character was in there; but that in perticular has been solved.

For us "ignert" rednecks, what is an umlaute used
for, and what kind of sound does it make?

What's the difference in an umlaute o and a plain o?

thanks

Okay, now I am using Jan 23 ANSI build - did not find a Unicode build. It works now and looks much better also. I do not really know why I grabed an old version - in fact I downloaded this version two days ago.

Ja, sorry again. I downloaded from http://download.berlios.de/codeblocks/ and since the ANSI build was at the bottom I used this. But now I also downloaded 1843 unicode and everything is fine.

Thanks alot.
