New to C-languages (C, C+, C++), have the Dummies book 3rd
edition and going thru the book chapter by chapter.
---
Running Code::Blocks 8.02, on a MacBook running OS 10.6.8,
with all the RAM filled to the brim.
---
I can create projects, run them and close them. I use click on the
blue highlighted defaults button when closing. If I try to open the
project later, it opens. But when I close the "tip of the day", the whole
thing crashes.
---
At first, it all re-opened fine, then progressively had problems opening again,
then got worse and would consistently crash after closing "tip of the day".
---
I'm using the "Console Applications" when I create a new project,
should I be using "GTK+project" instead???
---
Is there some quirk about closing projects in this 8.02 release that
I should be aware of???
Thanks for your help,
in advance,

Code Blocks 8.02 is nearly 8 Years old... There are bugs and crashes in it. Can you try to update to at least 13.x (you can download it from the codeblocks page)?
Better to a nightly but i don't think that there are nightly builds for mac...

My OS 10.6.8 will handle the 13.x ?
I did the 8.02 because that's what showed up
for my OS range.
I'll try the 13.x, thanks.
Thanks,

Wow, that downloaded fast and it runs faster than 8.02 version.
So far it's stable. I'll let know if that changes. Thanks a mill.
