Title: Build: Debug in Project1 (compiler: GNU GCC Compiler)
Post by: CrumblingAway on July 25, 2015, 02:39:57 pm: From what I can tell, the topics here don't have the answer for me. I am entirely new to programming, but I already have the feeling as if codeblocks is deliberately designed to put off newcomers.

This is the message I receive whenever I try to build the default "Hello World" program:

------------- Build: Debug in Project (compiler: GNU GCC Compiler) -------------

How do I fix this so I can finally progress beyond a simple print screen?

I have no idea what you mean by "codeblocks crashes"; I have to assume you do NOT know what a compiler is and how to report a problem.
Please read the FAQ I linked to and the FAQ it links to; then report what happened!

And the wiki page is less than useless to someone who is only beginning to learn. I just wanted to learn C, when did it become impossible to do that?

Please seek professional help; posting in two different threads implies to me that you might have an issue of having a split personality.
