Title: Code::Blocks 12.11 doesn't let me type '>'
Post by: GarrickW on July 21, 2013, 06:13:27 pm
So here is an odd problem.  I just upgrade to 12.11, and suddenly I cannot type the > character anymore in the editor.

Normally I type the character using "AltCar" + "." (I use the Canadian Multilingual Standard Keyboard, and I don't see why I should have to change language settings every time I open and close Code::Blocks).  However, in CB, doing so results in exactly nothing happening.  Typing the < character with "AltCar" + "," works fine.  Typing in all other programs, such as NotePad++, Firefox, Word, etc. also works fine.  CB detects other features of the CMSK, such as the é key, just fine.

Any ideas on what might be wrong here?

Maybe a keybinding is interfering.  Try reassigning the shortcut for Search -> Find references... (using the keybinder plugin, which is from the contrib plugins).

Ah, thanks!

It actually wasn't Search-> Find References..., though - that was bound to "Alt-.".  The Alt Car key reads as "Ctrl-Alt", so I needed to rebind Search-> Open include file.
