Hi! I have recently installed Ubuntu, and downloaded Codeblocks from the Ubuntu Software Center and I have a problem with "File ... is modified outside the IDE" pop-up because if some file is modified this pop-up doesn't show unless I switch to another program or I right click on the files tab. I remember that when I was using Windows 7 I didn't have this problem. What should I do? Thanks in advance! :)

Still no answer after this long time ... :(

I think you remember wrong. On Windows, you will only get the notification when CB becomes the focus application - i.e. when you click on it, or otherwise switch focus to it. I suspect the same is true on Ubuntu, though I couldn't be bothered testing it. So this is a non-problem.

If i left click on codeblocks it still does not show that pop-up. I have to right click or to minimize and expand again so that i can see the pop up. I took a look in Settings->Enviroment->General Settins and the option "Check for externally modified files" is checked. What should I do? Should I reinstall Codeblocks manually, not from Ubuntu Software Center (if so, could anybody show me a decent tutorial, because I tried some and couldn't do it. Thank you in advance!

What versions of C::B and Ubuntu are you running?
