Title: Need help getting codeblocks loaded on ubuntu
Post by: chuckishman on October 20, 2011, 03:55:04 pm
I need some help getting codeblocks set up on a Ubuntu system. I have downloaded "something" from the download web site, but I can't seem to get it setup/unzipped/whatever???

Already have this setup on my Acer (Windows) notepad with no problems. Don't know why Ubuntu is not as easy to work with.

Thx.

Sorry, but I am a little pissed. (And I don't mean drunk.) It took me 2 days to figure out how to post this post.

Have you tried "apt-get install codeblocks codeblocks-contrib"?

I am new to ubuntu and linux.

I used the ubuntu software care button on the apps bar and found code::blocks using a search.  I selected all the addon's but the middle one (contrib plugins).
A few minutes later codeblocks was installed and working.
