Post by: homer21 on October 15, 2011, 11:05:22 pm
I just downloaded codeblocks and the compilers auto-detection window isn't opening, what do i do to fix this. Win 7 64-bit.

The compiler detection window only opens on first run.  You can either delete the Code::Blocks profile (%appdata%\CodeBlocks) or use these compiler setup steps (http://wiki.codeblocks.org/index.php?title=Installing_a_supported_compiler#Compiler-neutral_setup_steps).

Note: your system must have a compiler installed (http://wiki.codeblocks.org/index.php?title=Installing_a_supported_compiler) as Code::Blocks is an IDE (http://wiki.codeblocks.org/index.php?title=FAQ#Q:_What_is_Code::Blocks.3F), not a compiler (http://wiki.codeblocks.org/index.php?title=FAQ#Q:_What_Code::Blocks_is_not.3F).

Could you please clarify what you mean by that?  (Your statement seems self-contradicting.)
