I found out what the problem was, it was the Code Completion 0.7. Without it the programs seems much quicker!

I got a new computer 6 months ago, pretty fast one. A while later I got back into modding civ4, so I downloaded the latest version of Code::Blocks. I noticed it was slower than it used to be, and thought it was cause of Windows 7, but I tested in windows xp as well, and same deal there.
Now a few months later, I am getting fed up with it. I'm using Code::Blocks cause its the only editor I can get to compile the Civ4 DLL.
But I have been editing in other editors most of the time cause of this slowness.
Windows 7
Version 8.02 of Code::Blocks installed on an SSD
Files run from a RAMDisk (some improvement with general editing, not much with the problems I have)
Computer:
Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 940 Black Edition
GfX Card: nVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 (GT200-200/D10U-20)
Memory: Corsair CM2X2048-8500C5 x2 = 4GB RAM
If that helps.
I've tried setting the program running on one specific core, but no change, so set it back on all.
Hi, to illustrate how slow it is for mem here is a youtube video:

Oops, posted in the wrong forum. Could a moderator move this perhaps?

1. Turn off all Plug-ins you do not use.
2. Run Code::Blocks as Admin
3. Turn off code completion to see if the problem goes away.
4. Use a nightly build
What Compiler are you using?
Include version number.
Is the Compiler Windows 7 Compatible?

Compiling isn't slow. It's the use of the program, opening files, switching focus between files, etc. Its frustratingly slow sometimes.
Just watch the youtube video, you'll get exactly what my problem is.
I'll turn off the plugins, and try the nightly build.
I've already turned donw UAC or whatever it is called so I run everything as admin, but I could test that as well.
General editing isn't that slow, especially not with the files on a RAMDisk, but watch the video as I said, and you'll see my error.

It was the Code Completion 0.7 that was the culprit. Without it the programs seems much quicker!
