That appears to have done it. Thanks a ton.

May be related to this ticket, try moving away the Doxyblocks plugin.

Help / Unable to run Code::Blocks - terminated by signal SIGSEGV
« Last post by nirnex on Today at 05:22:24 pm »
I am attempting to run Code::Blocks on a fresh fully updated install of Garuda Linux (Arch based for those unaware) running KDE Plasma. When I attempt to start it I see the splash screen, and a dialog box flashes up very briefly. I can see that it has created ~/.config/codeblocks but no files in it yet. It appears to cause some issues with KDE and Latte, but I haven't been able to find any particular log messages there yet. When I run from command line I get the following output.
Code

fish: Job 1, 'codeblocks' terminated by signal SIGSEGV (Address boundary error)

Any assistance would be appreciated. I've had it running on Garuda and other Arch based distros in the past without any issue and am at a bit of a loss as to what's going on now.

Plugins development / Patch for update.bat in wxsmith
« Last post by gd_on on Today at 01:58:49 pm »
After svn 12910, I had a problem when using update.bat in building wxsmith, when a .zip file is created.
Apparently, it's because the md command is misplaced.
Here is a small patch to correct this.

Using Code::Blocks / Re: Watches: Further expansion of structs

The steps above worked for me with the latest GCC and GDB and C::B versions.

Hi Andrew,

Please find attached a zip file of the (as yet unfinished/needs refactoring) project, as you initially asked for. Sorry it took me so long. Just not used to making zip files on Linux.  :(

Using Code::Blocks / Re: Watches: Further expansion of structs
« Last post by stuarte on Today at 12:33:27 pm »
Good morning Andrew,

Quote
1. Update your GCC compiler if you can.
2. Update your GDB if you can.
3. Update C::B to the latest nightly (see https://forums.codeblocks.org/index.php/board,20.0.html forum)

First, according to Synaptics, the installed versions of both GCC and GDB are the latest versions.
Point 3. above I will hold in abeyance for the moment.

Quote
After adding the pointer to the watch window do the following:

1. Select the variable by clicking once on the row
2. Right click and select the "properties" in the pop up context window
3. In the array group do the following:

  • check the [X] Watch as array
  • Enter the number of elements in the struct as the count

I did all this. When I then ran the program in debug/single-step mode a pop up box appeared stating that "Structure has no component named operator[].". Also, in the Watches window, the line at the bottom of the window that "hosts" pointer "theseRecords" now displays that same "Structure..." message in the middle column. Finally, the little black triangle is now missing.

General (but related to Code::Blocks) / Re: wxWidgets 3.2.1 released
« Last post by AndrewCot on Today at 08:42:54 am »
Just spotted that Ubuntu Packages site has wx 3.2.0 packages for kinetic.

Some, but not all of the packages can be seen in the following query:

The Clangd_Client for this nightly can be downloaded at
https://sourceforge.net/projects/cb-clangd-client/files/Plugin_Install_Package/Windows_x64/

Filename: ClangdClientForCBNightly_20220925_rev12908_win64.zip (Direct download link)

Copy the included clangd_client.zip to  <YourCodeBlocksNightlyFolder>\share\CodeBlocks\clangd_client.zip
Do not unzip this file.

Copy the included clangd_client.dll to <YourCodeBlocksNightlyFolder>\share\CodeBlocks\plugins\clangd_client.dll

Restart your CodeBlocks Nightly.

Install instructions for LLVM/clangd are included within the downloaded .zip file.
