Title: How to use patch file

Hello guys,
can anyone explain me how can I use a CodeBlocks patch file, that can be downloaded from this forum?
Does the patch file just go into the CB installation folder?
Thanks for any suggestion.

You must have C::B source code (downloaded using SVN), apply the patch using svn patch <patchname> and recompile. For details about these steps see the wiki (https://wiki.codeblocks.org/) part related to your not specified OS.
