Title: Codeblocks installation on Solaris 10 - executable?
Post by: chris_c on November 20, 2008, 05:17:33 pm
Dear all,

perhaps this is an extremely "silly" question, but we did follow the installation description (http://wiki.codeblocks.org/index.php?title=Installing_Code::Blocks_from_source_on_Solaris) step by step and it seemed to work well. We use Solaris 10.

But somehow we cannot manage to find an executable or a script to start codeblocks. I searched on the webpage and with google, but (sorry) I did not even find out, how it should be called and where we would find it.

Can anybody please give me a hint, how you can start codeblocks after successfull installation and where the files should be? This might help us to find out what might have gone wrong.

[We also tried the update script, but it  did not work and said that --u was a wrong option for cp]

Thank you so much in advance!

Kind regards

Seems like `/usr/local/test_cb/codeblocks` should do it ?

Not sure why it installed to a "test" prefix like that, though.

Thanks for your reply,

just that this file "codeblocks" is not created. We tried to follow exactly the guidelines and installed the whole thing twice....

Best regards,
