Text garbled in settings dialogs

I searched the forums and haven't found this discussed.

Some but not all icons in the settings dialogs have text that is vertical and a garbled appearance.

Graphics displays in Windows and all my other applications are working fine.  I do not wish to risk changing video drivers for a problem in just one program.

No idea; except I would check the "view settings" the eyeball and see it it is wrong/corrupted somehow.

Y, if I turn off icons in 'view settings' the text is horizontal and readable.
