"Save" shortcut key on a Mac

I am using the the Max OSX patch 2 build of C::B.  Out of habit, I press cmd-S to save a file that I am editing, where cmd refers to the Apple key.  This works if the file that I am editing has been changed.  If the file has already been saved, cmd-S puts an "s" in the file.  That's very annoying!  While trying to figure out what was going on, I found that ctrl-S works fine.  It would be nice if the Mac build was pre-configured to follow Mac keyboard conventions.
