Threadsearch is  very usefu .it is my first chose when searching something in a large mount of files.but it is a little annoying,it shows too much messagebox  "Failed to open xxxxxx" .sometimes hundreds of those message!

If you use svn version svn4940 or greater, there are two checkboxes in ThreadSearch-Options to switch the message-boxes off.

Can't start the ARM wizard in new projects.
Although I can see it in configs.scipt.
What do I have to delete (in regestry)?

C::B does not use the (windows) registry.
Do you get any error messages ? Which ?
Which OS ?
