I just uploaded the binaries and sources for debian to my repository (see sig).

I also uploaded binaries (and sources) to cross-compile wxWidgets-based programs for windows on Linux.
I will start another post to tell more about that.

Should these files be dropped onto my fresh 8.02 install like the nightly builds of old?  or should one create a new "nightly build" directory and install these files there?

Ubuntu 7.04 -> 7.10 Amd64 tar.gz archive (containing '.deb' installers builds with wx2.8.7) can be found here
