How to keep file tabs visible?
(1/1)
yckx:
I've noticed that when I have several files open and I open a new one, the file tabs scroll off to the left so that only the last three are visible (using only about 1/3 of the available space). This is irksome, as I must use the left arrow button to scroll them all back into view every time. It's a small thing, but it's a highly repetitive small thing. I don't know if this is a feature, a bug, or some setting I've been unable to discover, but if there's some fix, I'd dearly love to know about it.
Thanks for listening. And thanks for some great software ;)

Hi,
use the settings/notebook appearance and set the option use smart-tab scheme. So if you navigate you get a Open Tabs window.
Another possibility is to use the browser tracker plugin (see http://codeblocks.org/manual.shtml for details). With this plugin (see wiki.codeblocks.org for plugin download) you can switch between tabs/file in the order you opened them (very helpful plugin) with ALT+Forward/Backward.
Bye,
Mario

This is already part of the notebook functionality. If you are using the latest wxFlatNotebook (And I think Killerbot updated it) - then doing Ctrl+T while smart tabbing is enabled, will give you this behavior.

Sorry if I gotta bring this topic back, but the SmartTab scheme doesnt seem to work for me. Is this some kind of bug, that the tabs scroll off? Or is it supposed to do this? How can I fix it? Im running WinXP sp2 with C::B svn 4681.
