intel Threading Building Blocks

Hi :D

I have just bought this book (oReilly) about the intel Threading Building Blocks which seems to be a neat thing for C++. Yet i see no way how to build them with mingw (3.4.5). The make command seems to stand still for a very long time and nothing happens :? . Does anyone have a suggestion?

BTW only VC7 and VC8 libs are delivered as binary. Can they be converted to gcc libs too??
