Buttons for tools
«

It would be very convenient for me (and to many others, I guess...) to have a toolbar with a few buttons that we could assign to tools, instead of using the tools menu.
Can it be done?
Thanks

I would prefer one to add commonly used tools to. But realistically, such a tool bar would be little use if there are many tools. Instead, you could have common tools on the toolbar, and all the rest in the menu, with submenus for grouping...

yes, it can be done quite easily.
my stupidly named Interpreted Languages plugin allows users to setup groupings of customizable shell commands (those same commands can also offer themselves in context menus of the editor panel, the project manager and the file browser to run on the click file, directory or files). It would make sense to add a toolbar for this plugin (only question is how to deal with images).
