I'm looking at my Code::Blocks window and jumping for joy. Sweet compilation complete!
I followed all the steps in the wiki tutorial, "Compiling Code::Blocks in Linux (applies to all distros)." Found here:
http://codeblocks.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Compiling_Code::Blocks_in_Linux_%28applies_to_all_distros%29
If someone could update that article, I had to find out from the gentoo article that I needed to run dos2unix on the update file. It still seems a bit of a pain in the arse to compile, but who am I to complain... I love Code::Blocks.
Peace.
