Close tabs

(1/1)

Hello everybody,
I am new to this forum so I would to compliment with all the developers and other people who have started the Code::Blocks project! I am a C++ programmer, newbie on wxWidgets. I am using C::B for very short time but I appreciate its semplicity and its GUI.

I think that one very useful GUI improvement can be a close button for one opened tab, like Firefox tab browsing, an 'X' button on the right side of the tab bar. I found also another interesting option that is add
an 'x' button directly to every opened tab. To be simple an user can right-click to a tab and select from a pop-up menu to close it or to open a new one.

Thanks for the attention and I hope in future to give also my contribution to the development of this project when I will become stronger on wxWidgets.

Y.

This is implemented for "ages" (;-)) in the current development branch (see http://forums.codeblocks.org/index.php?board=20.0). Besides a lot other (even better) GUI improvements have been done.
With regards, Morten.

Thanks Morten for your quick reply!

I will try to install (or compile?) the Nightly build o C::B. I forgot to ask if the other very useful (in my opinion)
feature is enabled, that is switching tabs by using Ctrl+PgUp or PgDown, like in Firefox.

Thanks again
