C::B + Summer of Code?

(1/2) > >>

squizzz:
It seems that new edition of Google's Summer of Code is being prepared - http://code.google.com/soc/.

Are there any plans that Code::Blocks project will participate (and benefit) as a mentor? :P

PS. results of SoC 2005.

takeshimiya:
I think so. There are two items in the roadmap that can particularly benefit:

# Clean rewrite of code parser
# Code Refactoring functionality

You mean people are going to help us with C::B?

That'd be awesome :) But what do we (team) need to do?

There's a Mentor FAQ explaining everything.
Basically, project has to provide poll of ideas (bounties) that could be implemented by student participants.

There are still 8-9 days left to register as a mentor and submit "bounties".

takeshimiya:
It would be great if the devs register as mentors.
Getting students to help the project, while also being paid, it's great.

squizz: if the core devs don't have time for registering, can other devs register?
