How to keep Program Console window on top
« on: July 27, 2022, 03:28:50 pm »
Hi,
I am trying to use C::B v20.03 on Kubuntu 20.04 LTS (fully updated) to develop short C programs as I work through a text book.

My problem(?) occurs when I am single stepping through my code using the Next line button on the Debug toolbar.

Consider the situation where C::B is full screen and the Program Console window can be seen in the top left part of the screen. When I press the Next line button, the Program Console window disappears behind the IDE. Is this normal functioning for this window ?

I tried clicking on the "pin" icon at the left hand end of the Program Console window title bar but the window still disappeared behind the IDE when I clicked the Next line button.

I also tried having a look in C::B Settings but did not recognise anything there that may have helped with this problem(?).

As you can no doubt guess from this, I am new to the C::B IDE and so any advice that can be given would be very much appreciated.

Best regards,

Stuart
