Cannot access external dll

I need to access dao360.dll. Using the example at this website (https://www.codeproject.com/Articles/11245/How-to-use-DAO-in-Visual-C-without-MFC) on Code::Blocks I am getting a lot of gibberish in the compile window and then it gives me error that the commands of dao are undefined. Any help how to access external dlls with Code::Blocks? Note that dao360.dll does not have any lib file to link.
