im operating linx ubuntu, i downloaded code blocks from my apps page. the book said if i did it this way i wouldn't need to download c++ 14. need help please.  :-[   the first lesson isn't on here.

i don't know your book and i can't give you support for your book, but codeblocks is not a compiler and has no dependency to any compiler so i think your book is wrong. You need to install gcc...
