Save file as ... does not work on 12.11 Widnows 7

I use the "Save file as ..." command all the time but it does not work on Codeblocks 12.11 Windows 7. What can I do to make it work? When I select "Save file as ..." and select a new file name, nothing happens. No file gets created. The only way to create the file is to switch out of the Codeblocks application, switch back into it, then you get a message saying the file does not exit, click ok and then you get the ungreyed save button which allows you to save the file. Very inconvenient.

Can you try with the latest version which is 16.01? 12.11 is close to 4 years old already.
Also if you can reproduce this issue with 16.01 please post the exact steps needed to reproduce the problem.

If I use a newer version I have the find the bugs all over again. Does anyone answer questions about older versions?

Post the exact steps you're doing from the description sounds that you're doing something wrong.
